Malaysian Football: Malaysian Tigers Dropped A Spot From 141 To 142

Harimau Malaya have dropped one spot from 141 to 142 as no "A" class matches were played since March 1.


The Malayan Tigers hold great record since Ong Kim Swee assumed responsibility.

He brought the team from 150 to 142 last month, however lack of games have put them down a notch.

Meanwhile, this is expected to change soon as Malaysia is expected to face the Philippines later this month.

In the South East Asian region, Vietnam holds the top position at 116, followed by Thailand at 140 and Malaysia being the third with 142.

Behind Malaysia is Philippines at 143, Singapore at 145 and Indonesia at 151.

Malaysia is additionally put around groups such as India at 145, Belize at 143 and Kyrgyzstan at 147.

In Asia, Iran is still the number one team at 37, with Japan emulating behind at 47, Uzbekistan at 53, Korea Republic at 56 and Australia at 59.

These are just some of the top nations in the Asian region.

Malaysia ranked at 22 around 46 Asian nations.

World Champions and European Champions, Spain is still staying at the top with Germany behind them.

Portugal has replaced Argentina in third place, with the Argentinians now at sixth place behind Colombia being the fourth and Uruguay being the fifth.

This year’s World Cup host, Brazil occupies the 6th place.

While England is at the 11th spot and Greece at the 10th spot.

Talking about rapid climb in the table, Scotland holds the title from being at the 37th to being on the 22nd.

On the other hand, Liberia drops 22 spots from 97 to 119.
