The main two groups in the Super League – Pahang and Selangor – held their positions affability of home wins over more lower-ranked oppositions.
Pahang just got their sixth straight home win after crushing T-Team, 2-0 on Saturday placing them at the top of table standings.
Two key players each scored a goal. Matias Conti of Argentina gave his goal share on the second minute while Azamuddin Akil gave his share on the 57th minute.
This enabled the Elephants to top the standings with 25 points after having played 12 matches.
The T-Team defence collapsed promptly early in the game after midfielder, Mohd Hafiz Kamal's twisting free-kick bounced off the post and the sneaking Conti contributed his score with a low header in the second minute.
In the 57th minute, Azamuddin doubled the lead when he rose unchallenged to head home past T-Team goalkeeper Sharil Sa'ari.
T-Team's new foreign strikers – Luis Dos Santos of Brazil and Jimmy Mulisa of Rwanda – gave Pahang a few challenged moments but they still failed to discover the net. Mulisa had the best opportunity to score however, his 48th minute shot from outside the box fell off the woodwork.
In Shah Alam, Selangor stayed in contact with Pahang in second spot in the wake of edging basement side Perak 1-0 at the Shah Alam Stadium.
Brazilian striker Paulo Rangel scored an essential goal in the 8th minute mark of the game.
Later on, both teams were reduced to only having 10 men. Rivaldo Silva, the Red Giants' new signing was shown the red card by official Zulkifli Ahmad for elbowing Perak's Kyaw Zayar Win in the 44th minute.
Meanwhile, Perak's Mohd Rafiq Nagoor was sent off in the wake of picking a second booking in the 66th minute.
The defending champions LionsXII endured their second thrashing at home when they lost 1-0 to Sime Darby FC at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
Midfielder Mohd Syukur Saidin netted the winner for the visitors in the 44th minute.
In Selayang, Kelantan vanquished Armed Forces 2-0.
Skipper Mohd Badhri Radzi opened records in the 44th minute before the Liberian striker; Francis Doe expanded the lead in the 83rd minute.
